Nicole Williams serves as the visionary Founder and dedicated Chief Executive Officer of Victory Music & Dance Company Inc (VMDC). In this impactful role, she orchestrates the strategic execution and meticulous oversight of an extensive portfolio, including the (VMDC) Arts in Education residency day school and afterschool programs, the (VMDC) Performing Arts Academy, and the (VMDC) Cultural Arts Community Marching Band. These vital initiatives collectively touch the lives of over 5000 young individuals across under-resourced communities in Brooklyn.

With an impressive background spanning over two decades in strategic human resource management & organizational development, Ms. Williams bolster a distinguished record of more than fifteen years in successfully implementing structured, high-quality arts education and leadership programs across diverse genres and disciplines. Her unwavering commitment is evident in her life’s work, as she dedicates herself to implementing youth-focused programs in under-resourced communities. These initiatives, rooted in the arts, social emotional learning, and civic engagement, aim to impact academic achievement, nurture self-esteem, and foster crucial leadership skills.

Ms. Williams has further honed her expertise through advanced certifications & degrees in Public Service, Strategic Leadership & Business Excellence from prestigious institutions & organizations such as Columbia Business School, Executive Education Program, Metropolitan College of New York & Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Her exemplary leadership and relentless dedication to service have been recognized through citations and proclamations from the Office of the Borough Presidents’ and New York City Council.

Looking ahead, Ms. Williams envisions a profound legacy, striving to establish Cultural Arts Leadership & Education Centers in every district. These transformative centers will pave the way for success, offering essential pathways through leadership, mentorship, academic enrichment, and artistic development to youth of all ages in Brooklyn.

Duncan Huie serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Victory Music & Dance Company Inc. Duncan holds over forty years of leadership and strategic oversight experience in the business management and finance field. He also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the following colleges and universities: Borough of Manhattan Community College, Health Education, Adjunct Professor, Touro Graduate School of Business and Adjunct professor, Wagner College Graduate Business School.

Duncan is the Associate Executive Director of NYCHHC South Brooklyn/Staten Island and holds Master Degrees in Business Management (Finance) and Master of Science (Community Health).

Originally from a small town in upstate New York, has been a working Dancer, Actress and Arts Educator in NYC for over 10 years. Whitney’s performance career has included everything from 5 seasons as Principal Dancer with ASHA Dance Company, to theatrical and musical theater performances in original Off-Broadway plays. More recently you may have seen her performing for PBS American Portrait Series or in National Commercial’s for brands such as Martha Stewart and Christmas Tree Shops. Her past Arts Administration roles include positions at Dancing Classrooms, Long Island University’s Dance Department, and Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute’s Education Program. 

Whitney has worked with Victory Music & Dance Company for over 10 years. She has taught, choreographed and produced her own shows while leveraging the arts as a tool for community engagement and social change since the age of 15. Her great love of dance and helping others started when she taught her first dance class to the underserved youth of the Schenectady, NY Boys & Girls Club. She received the National George Bush Presidential Scholarship for Volunteerism and went on to receive a Bachelor’s in Dance and Theater from Long Island University. One of Whitney’s greatest joys is teaching the young people in the Dance Academy. They inspire her everyday and she is honored to work with them.

Ronald Martin, Jr. is the Director of Bands for Victory Music & Dance Company Inc., He was born in Brooklyn, and found his love for music by singing and playing in the church. Mr. Martin attended the Choir Academy of Harlem, home of the then- renowned Boys Choir of Harlem. During his time with the Boys Choir of Harlem, he had the chance to go on various tours; including Japan, be featured on the cover of Haiku book entitled “Perfect Harmony: A Musical Journey with The Boys Choir of Harlem”, contest winner and performer on the Emeril Lagasse show. He has also performed for Presidents and with Grammy Award winning artists such as The King of Pop Michael Jackson.

He participated in the Community District 13 Marching Alliance Marching Band which is now known as Dr. Susan S. McKinney “Superior Sound” Marching Band. As well as marching from Junior High School through High School, he also had the opportunity to march in college.

Ms. Mia Adams is a dedicated Program Director for the 184 Newport School of Victory Music & Dance Company, Arts Leadership residency program in Brownsville. She has over 10 years’ experience working with parents, students and staff. Ms. Mia has been trained to implement literacy and STEAM structured programming within the 184 Dance Education community, Brownsville Excellence Marching Band, and Girl empowerment sessions.

 Mia has trained with professional New York based dance and theater organizations. Mia was accepted to the first degree granting HBCU, The Lincoln University, in Pennsylvania.  Upon graduation with a BS (Human Services Major) Mia has returned to her Brooklyn community to share her love of dance and education to the next generation.

Making a difference in the lives of children and their families has always been a goal for Ms. Mia. Each Day she is reaching that goal, but the job is never done. She is blessed to see the development in the children, spread to their families and communities.

Program Director

Michelle Vinson is a very passionate and creative Program Director of the Victory Music & Dance Company, Arts Leadership Program at PS 273 Wortman School. Ms. Vinson has over eighteen years’ experience working for the NYC Department of Education with PreK-5th grade students in providing academic support and social emotional learning.

Ms. Vinson is very instrumental in providing emotional and social support to students and their parents and runs the only Comfort Dog Program in District 19. Her specialty in effective classroom management, student and parent engagement is a few of her many strengths. Her outstanding leadership and unwavering support with the Victory Music & Dance, Arts residency program at PS 273 is highly revered and acknowledged by the entire East New York community.

Ms. Vinson holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Touro College and also received a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix in 92011).

Jalisa Wallerson is a NYC based dancer and choreographer. She started her training with Victory Music and Dance Company INC at eleven years old. Jalisa also performed with the VMDC junior company. With Victory, she performed at NYC City Hall, Brooklyn Borough Hall, and NYC Parks and Recreation Headquarters. She performed for the Mayor, the Brooklyn Borough President, the NYC assembly, and many Council members. She graduated from Brooklyn HighSchool of the Arts. She worked with Ian DaSilva and Michelle Smith, and during her summers she attended Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts. She worked with Nathaniel Hunt, Clifton Brown, Alexander Diaz, Antonio Brown, Ruddy Frias, and Earl Mosley himself.

She graduated with her associate of science degree in dance at Queensborough Community College. She is now at Hunter College pursuing her bachelor’s degree. She is technically trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Modern, and African dance, She made her debut in a commercial for the Nike x NYC Parks collection launched back in 2019. Her journey continues as a site supervisor & teaching artist for the Victory Music and Dance Company Inc.

Juquan Phillip is the   Assistant band Director for The Brownsville Excellence Marching Band and the musical director for the victory music and dance company steel orchestra. Prior to this he was the band director for a previous drumline in the Bronx New York .

Juquan is Brooklyn based and has been playing drums in many award winning marching band ,drumlines and steel band orchestras, rhythm section. He enjoys working with the young musicians in the Victory Music & Dance Company Organization.

Nanonte Dailey is a focused, highly driven, creative, American Sign Language Instructor. This passionate visionary has over 15 years working with the Department of Education as a certified teacher and has been working as a ASL, Senior Teaching Artist with Victory Music & Dance Company Inc., for over five years.

Ms. Dailey holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from Lincoln University and is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

Born & raised in the great state of Texas Ms. Ferrin has taken the New York dance scene by storm! Since graduating from LIU Brooklyn  she has performed with numerous dance companies such as Asha Dance Company, Fritzation Dance Experience, Dance Africa’s Spiritwalkers, and Forces of Nature Dance Theatre, serving as the rehearsal director for all, who obtained a Outstanding Production Bessie Award in 2017 and Outstanding Service to the Field of Dance in 2021. She has shared her artistry through education and performance across many stages such as the world Famous Apollo Theatre , The Hollywood Bowl, Windspear Opera house of Dallas , Majestic Theater, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and many many more. She is blessed & delighted with the success of  her professional career thus far  and hopes to continue to spread her energy to the world through movement on the many stages to come. She carries the love and support of her family and friends always with the highest gratitude and is proud to continue to share her positivity, light and love!

Ms. Estena serves as a Senior Teaching Artist of the Victory Music & Dance Company Arts Leadership Program at PS 13 Roberto Clemente School & the Dance Academy. Ms. Estena has over 15 years of professional dance experience and began her training at a very early age and as a teenager furthered her training by studing at the Joffrey Ballet School, Martha Graham Dance Company and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in NYC. She has received extensive training in Ballet, Modern, Contemporary, African, Creative Movement, Jazz, Pointe, and Theatre.

She has performed with Buglisi Dance Theatre, Arts in Christan Theatre, God’s Blueprint for Life Ministry with David Bratton, just to name a few. In dedicating her life to the Lord, she now preaches the Gospel through dance, under the greatest teaching and leading of the Holy Spirit.

Ms. Estena has gained over 10 years of experience teaching workshops in dance ministry, biblical studies of dance, ministry leadership, ballet, pointe, interpretive dance, flags, stage production and creative worship throughout the United States, the Caribbean, London England, Canada, The Philippines and Hong Kong to name a few.

Ms. Estena closes by saying ” Dance inspires me and it is my desire to educate and inspire others to worship and serve God through the Ministry of dance. My greatest desire is to see dance reclaimed unto the Lord, in holiness, spirit and truth.” She has devoted the rest of her life to share her gift of dance openly with others to equip them to become ministers and teachers of the arts for Christ.

Dr. Melissa Ford is an enthusiastic Education Specialist of the Victory Music & Dance Company, Arts Leadership Program of PS 273 Wortman School. Dr. Ford has over twenty years’ experience as a certified elementary school teacher holds a Doctor of Education in Reading and Literacy from Capella University (2016). Dr. Ford offers a proven track record of commended performance teaching grades PK-5, with an unwavering commitment to optimizing student and school success. She is a seasoned and accomplished professional who sets high expectations for academic performance and behavior.

As the Education Specialist, Dr. Ford specializes in curriculum development, student motivation, interactive learning, classroom management and discipline, instructional best practices, inquiry based learning & differentiation, and educational research oral & written communication.

Dr. Ford also holds a Master of Education in Literacy from Touro University (2012), a second Masters of Education in Elementary Education in Long Island University at C.W. Post (2004), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from SUNY Old Westbury (2000).

Jaiden Bailey is a NYC based Instrumentalist, percussionist, and vocal performer who currently serves as a Teaching Artist Assistant for the Brownsville Excellence Marching Band. 

Jaiden was Introduced to music in elementary school through steel pan and had the opportunity to direct a concert band in middle school. I’m June 2021, he graduated from Fiorello LaGuardia High school of the arts for vocal music. While there, Jaiden was trained in Musical Theater, Classical, Jazz, and Gospel Music. 

Jaiden participated in local HBCU style Marching bands in which he was a section leader and also participated in local steel pan groups where he went on to play in the panorama competition.

Jaiden enjoys working with children and is grateful to be a part of the Victory Music & Dance Company, arts leadership team. He is currently a freshman at Long Island University with a major in Computer Science.

Tristan Mills was born in Brownsville, Brooklyn and began receiving his marching band training at the age of eleven with Victory Music & Dance Company Inc., at the PS/IS 184 Newport School. He currently serves as a teaching artist assistant of the Brownsville Excellence Marching Band.

Tristan was trained and auditioned for the Susan Mckinny High School drumline and as a freshmen was unequivocally accepted into the advanced level snare line of the Royal Pride Marching Band. 

He has had the opportunity to showcase his passion and love for music through performances throughout the tristate area to include Lincoln University.

Tristan is a leader within the community and is a role model amongst his peers. He is currently attending Morgan State University with a major in music.

Chase is the Comfort Dog for the Victory Music & Dance Company, Arts Leadership Program at PS 273 Wortman School. Chase became a certified NYC Department of Education,” Comfort Dog” in 2018 and provides emotional support to a school of 300 students.

Chase enjoys coming to the aide of students with emotional needs and provides this support to over five students in his school on a daily basis. Chase is an invaluable member of the Victory Music & Dance residency program of 273 and will be featured in the Good Dog Foundation, calendar (2023).
